Want to run your own merry website? The Merry Network has ongoing needs for experts in the topics we cover. Webmasters have FTP access to our sites, must have graphic capabilities, manage an editorial calendar and work with Merry Network management to map ongoing strategies for site development, traffic building and revenue generation.
Writer
Freelance editorial projects are available for writers on the topics of holidays, traditions, projects, cooking, home and family, legends, movie reviews, etc. Please provide links to other online writing projects or a writing portfolio. We need active, creative voices to generate content on a variety of websites. Freelance submissions are always welcome and will be considered in a timely fashion. Payments are made via PayPal only and vary according to project. While we generally do not consider previously published work we will gladly work in partnership with other established sites who can serve our seasonal audiences with creative, unique content.
Blogger
We have ongoing needs for bloggers to contribute to various sites of the Merry Network. What is the difference between a writer and a blogger? A blogger is an editorial writer with a warm conversational tone and a quick wit. While our writers will spend a lot of time in research our bloggers write to the emotional side of our readers, providing opinion, wry observance and occasional laughs. Our blogs have the following general themes:
— reviewing movies, products, websites and anything associated with Christmas.
— experiences and observation of the modern celebration of Christmas.
— experiences and observation of the celebration of Thanksgiving.
— experiences and observation of the celebration of Halloween.
— A general Christmas blog.
— All about the music of Christmas!
Blog posts need to be uniquely written (copyscape tested), somewhere between 250-600 words in length and can contain one link and one image. If accepted for submission each blog entry will be placed according to our editorial discretion. Payment is via PayPal only. We pay $10 for each editorial blog post we accept.
Director of Sales
Dynamic, professional and organized individual is needed to coordinate ad sales, affiliate linking and product placements on all sites of the Merry Network. This is a telecommuting position requiring whatever time is necessary to accomplish performance goals. Compensation is strictly based upon revenue generated. Individuals with web advertising experience and knowledge of industry standards are encouraged to apply. Must be HTML/PHP proficient, completely versed in the operation of Open Ads, connected to webmaster communities and in possession of strong written communication skills.
