The Merry Network is pleased to announce the creation of ChristmasBoard.com, an all new gathering place for Christmas enthusiasts.

Why another Christmas forum? Because there just aren't enough of them. Christmas forums are websites of the people. They become what people want them to become. People frequent forums for the love of a certain topic. Through them folks connect as they share. That's the beauty of the Internet. Forums like ChristmasBoard.com make the overall Christmas community online stronger.

We built this site to sell it. We make no bones about that.

Why?

Because we have our hands full running our other Christmas sites. This is a great opportunity for the right person -- someone who wants to pursue their love of Christmas through running a website without having to know anything technical. We'll take care of the backend -- what we need is someone to give this site a face and a personality.

We're going to take our time with this. We will begin by selecting a Board President -- someone who simply possesses a love of Christmas and talking about it online. We will support the site by providing hosting and paying for all associated fees. We will promote the site amongst the other sites of the Merry Network to build interest and traffic. Within a year -- after it is fully established -- we will likely sell the site.

What will it cost to run this site?

Domain Name Registration -- $8.95 per year
Hosting -- $79 per year

Why so cheap? Because we're not really in this for the money. Truth be told, we grabbed the domain name from another developer who wasn't using it. It is too good of a name to sit idle. We think it should be an active site, so here it is. This is a fun project for the right person and we're looking for an ongoing partnership to help us celebrate Christmas year after year.

What would be required? This is what we're looking for in a Board President --

1. Possess expertise in the subject matter.
2. Committ time weekly to site management.
3. Uphold community standards.
4. Link to other sites related to the subject matter.
5. Build community population.
6. Direct efforts to grow site content and traffic rankings.

No tenchical expertise nor out-of-pocket expenses are required of the Board President. Once appointed, the Board President will have full non-technical operation authority to name moderators, lead and control discussion, add or delete content, build relationships and pursue all ethical avenues of progressive site growth.

The site is targeted to be sold by the end of July 2007. The individual holding the position of Board President will have then two options:

1. Collect 50% of the revenue generated by the sale of the site and either leave the position of responsibility free and clear at that time or negoiate terms to stay on with the new ownership.

2. Purchase the site itself and retain operational control.
